The 8th Annual "CRUZ IN DOWNTOWN" attracted over 50,000
Winnipeggers to experience fun and excitement in Downtown Winnipeg!
This year's day long
event is expected
to triple the scope and energy of last year's festival.
Winnipeg,
per capita, is the classic, collector and special interest vehicle capital
of Canada. Thousands of Manitobans enjoy the hobby of preserving, restoring
and enjoying these types of vehicles with family and friends, which is evident
throughout the summer as approximately 60 Manitoba car clubs hold their weekend
Show & Shine Events celebrating this ever-growing hobby.
On Saturday, August 9th, Downtown Winnipeg will host the 9th Annual "CRUZ
IN DOWNTOWN". The following streets will be closed for the event:

The
event begins with a parade of classic automobiles departing from the Canad
Inn Stadium @ NOON SHARP. The parade will make its way East down Portage
Avenue, South on Memorial Blvd., and East on York Avenue where the vehicles
will park along the closed roadways.
There will be
a block party, hosted by local merchants and restaurants, that will include
a vast array of live entertainment on various stages, bars, patios and BBQs,
and activities for kids of ALL ages.
All proceeds
from "CRUZ IN DOWNTOWN" will be donated to
The
Rainbow Society.
The 8th AnnualCruz In Downtown raised $10,150.00 & had the pleasure of sending a little girl & her family to Disneyworld in Florida.
